The company has been steadily laying off our members at an alarming rate. A year ago there were approximately 1200 members in HCI. Today there are fewer than 300. The present economic situation of telecommunications companies like SBC and Verizon are in part caused by the policies of the current administration. Companies that use the services of HCI are suffering a major work slowdown due to the unfair and unreasonable rules applied to SBC and Verizon, requiring them to sell their services to competitors for less than they cost to provide.
