TO: Eligible SBC-West Out of Region Retirees
Subject: Important Change to your Existing Out of Region Concession Reimbursement.
We’re pleased to announce that effective October 1, 2005, your existing retiree Telephone Concession reimbursement will be replaced with our new Block of Time 600 Minutes SBC Long Distance Plan.
The new SBC Long Distance plan delivers the same $25 communications value you’re accustomed to receiving each month, combined with the newest in product development and top-quality service offered by SBC.
The Block of Time 600 Minutes SBC Long Distance plan provides 600-minutes of direct-dialed SBC domestic long distance calls per month at no cost to you. (This plan does not include rollover minutes, and any overages will be charged to your account at the rate of $.08 cents per minute.) In addition to the excellent value offered under this plan, you will no longer be reimbursed by Acordia National.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to take advantage of the new Block of Time 600 Minutes SBC Long Distance plan, you must register for the plan no later than by September 30, 2005. Our customer service representatives will attempt to contact you at your residence to assist you with your registration. You may expect to receive a call within the next week between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. (PT). Please have your local phone bill available to assist us in placing your order. If you will be traveling, are otherwise unavailable, or you do not hear from us by September 24, 2005, you must contact us at 1-800-705-4444 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. (PT), Monday through Friday, to register for your new telephone concession plan. Your current telephone concession reimbursement program will be discontinued on October 1, 2005. Failure to sign up for the new SBC Long Distance plan by September 30, 2005, will result in cancellation of your telephone concession.
Any quarterly or monthly payment you are due through September 30, 2005 will be mailed to your by Acordia National on the regular payment schedule. Any charges for calls made after September 30, 2005 will not be reimbursed. If you have questions about this process, please call Acordia National at 1-800-542-8515 between the hours of 5 a.m. and 4 p.m. (PT), Monday through Friday.
